African Trilogy

Pretoria to Walvis Bay

Description

Overview

The African Trilogy by Rovos Rail stands as one of the world’s most ambitious and extraordinary luxury rail journeys, spanning 15 nights, 16 days, and roughly 5,000 kilometers across the shifting landscapes of Southern Africa. Beginning in the historic heart of South Africa's highveld, this journey weaves through three distinct nations: South Africa, the mountainous Kingdom of eSwatini, and the vast, arid wilderness of Namibia. Guests travel in meticulous vintage wood-paneled carriages restored to 1930s elegance, enjoying five-star cuisine, fine South African wines, and personalized butler service. The expedition blends classic rail travel with light-aircraft fly-in excursions to remote safari and desert lodges, offering an unparalleled immersion into African wildlife, culture, and ancient geology before reaching the Atlantic coast at Walvis Bay.
